Over the years, RSPA-certified coach Tyler Miranda has taught hundreds of players through private lessons, clinics, group classes, and match coaching, including at Eastern Athletic — one of Long Island’s premier tennis clubs. He has worked with every range of player, from red ball toddlers to 55-and-over experts.
His coaching is unique, and the proof is in the pattern: all of Tyler’s players are extremely technically sound. You'll never catch one of his kids with an incorrect grip, and that's no coincidence. Tyler spends far more time than most perfecting each technique before rushing into point play.
He ensures students grasp each piece of their game and why they're doing it that way, instead of having them just imitate and fall apart once real points are played. His players know their own mantras, motivations, patterns, and pitfalls — and even more importantly, they know what leads to what.
Tennis is a journey, so Tyler’s goal is to produce independent players who can think, problem-solve, and improve throughout their careers — even when he isn’t watching. That's the secret sauce: giving them the tools to self-diagnose any issue they run into, so that they can always find their way back to their game.
